EDWARDIAN PIERCED STERLING SILVER SWING-HANDLED BASKET, BIRMINGHAM, 1905

An Edwardian sterling silver fruit basket, hallmarked Birmingham, 1905, by Williams (Birmingham) Ltd. The oval body features a pierced gallery of vertical pales and foliate scrollwork at the terminals. It is mounted on a conforming pierced pedestal foot and fitted with a geometric openwork swing handle. The interior well is plain with a polished finish.
