A fine set of four late Victorian sterling silver candlesticks, hallmarked for London, 1893, by the renowned silversmiths William Hutton & Sons. Each piece is designed in the classic Corinthian style, featuring an elegantly fluted shaft that rises from a stepped, square base adorned with traditional bead-and-reel borders. The capitals are intricately cast with lush acanthus leaves and volutes, supporting gadrooned nozzles. While one detachable bobeche is currently lacking, the set remains a striking example of 19th-century Neo-Classical revivalism, showcasing the heavy gauge and superior craftsmanship synonymous with Edward Hutton’s tenure.
