This elegant Edwardian sterling silver married tea service is of compressed oval form, representing a seamless stylistic match despite its composite origins. The teapot and twin-handled sugar bowl were crafted by William Devenport in Birmingham, 1904, while the cream jug was later commissioned from the esteemed house of William Hutton & Sons in Sheffield, 1916, to complete the set. Each piece features a deep vertical gadrooned lower body beneath a delicate bead-and-reel border. The teapot is further detailed with a fluted, domed cover and fitted with a sharp, angular ebonized wood handle and matching finial, maintaining a sophisticated neo-classical aesthetic throughout the collection.
