A fine sterling silver tazza, hallmarked for Chester, 1913. This elegant centerpiece features an expansive, shallow bowl meticulously decorated with a foliate pierced panel, interspersed by polished reserves. The ornate rim is cast with a recurring shell and acanthus leaf motif, characteristic of the Neoclassical revival popular during the early 20th century. The piece is elevated by a sturdy, tapering pedestal foot with a stepped base. Despite the maker's mark being rubbed, the piece exhibits the high-quality craftsmanship associated with Chester’s storied assay office during the Edwardian transition.
