A sophisticated set of four George III sterling silver salt cellars, hallmarked London, 1812, bearing the distinguished mark of Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I. Each cellar exhibits a traditional oblong form, elevated by a waisted pedestal base and characterized by a refined gadrooned border—a hallmark of the Regency aesthetic. The interiors are finished with a rich gold-wash (vermeil) to protect the silver from the corrosive nature of salt while adding a luminous warmth to the table.
