Each vase of baluster form rising from a stepped circular foot, the body cast in high relief within a shaped cartouche depicting kingfishers and wading birds among lotus and aquatic grasses, flanked by twin rooster-head handles with loop terminals and ball finials. The shoulder decorated with a collar of pointed foliate cartouches, repeated at the base. Each vase is the deliberate mirror image of the other, confirming they were conceived and executed as a matched pair.
Each base with a cast seal mark within a shaped cartouche.
