An Edwardian rectangular sterling silver dressing table tray, hallmarked Birmingham, 1902, bearing the maker’s mark for Jones & Crompton. The surface is heavily ornamented with repoussé and chased decoration, featuring scrolling acanthus leaves and floral motifs surrounding a central, unengraved cartouche. The tray is defined by a deep, raised border executed in a diagonal rope-work style, creating a high-relief corded effect along the scalloped rim. This piece is a representative example of the ornamental "Small-work" produced by the firm during the early 20th century.
