Four-piece George IV sterling silver tea service, hallmarked London, 1824, bearing the maker’s mark of the celebrated silversmith James Aldridge. This suite comprises a teapot, lidded sugar bowl, cream jug, and waste bowl, each exhibiting a masterful display of Regency-era craftsmanship. The bodies feature deep vertical fluting and intricate repoussé floral borders of blooming roses and acanthus leaves, set upon circular spreading feet. The heavy-gauge silver is complemented by ornate, cast scroll handles and original rich gilding to the interiors.
