An impressive Italian silver centerpiece of elongated navette form, exhibiting the exceptional craftsmanship of the Palermitan silversmith Eugenio Stancampiano. The body is defined by deep, hand-beaten vertical fluting radiating from a stepped, circular foot. The rim is embellished with a meticulously hand-chiseled egg-and-dart band, a sophisticated hallmark of the Empire Revival style. The vessel is flanked by two masterfully cast handles in the form of winged griffins. The underside bears the hallmarks for .800 fineness alongside the "39 PA" lozenge mark and the "St" monogram.
