An Edwardian sterling silver-mounted lead crystal claret jug, hallmarked London, 1902, bearing the "RB" maker’s mark for Richard Burbidge of Harrods Ltd. The tapered body is composed of heavy-gauge lead crystal, precision-cut with a continuous diamond-point hobnail pattern that produces a characteristic resonant chime. The silver mount comprises a polished cylindrical collar, an angular geometric handle, and a flat-topped hinged lid featuring a beaded rim and a gadrooned urn finial. This specimen was produced in the Harrods silver workshops at Trevor Square, Knightsbridge, during Burbidge's tenure as Managing Director.
