A finely cast Victorian patinated bronze figure of Dick Whittington by the renowned sculptor Charles Bell Birch, signed and dated "C.B. BIRCH Sc. 1873" to the integral base. The youth is depicted in a moment of contemplative repose, leaning against a milestone while clutching his bindle over his left shoulder.
