A striking French Art Deco spelter figural group, circa 1925–1930, depicting a seated young woman in a loosely draped classical tunic, her arms outstretched to either side commanding two recumbent hounds. Cast in silvered and gilt spelter with a dual-tone patination, the composition demonstrates the period's characteristic synthesis of classical subject matter with modernist horizontality. Mounted on a substantial figured onyx plinth with grey marble sub-bases and geometric green onyx inlay, the piece is raised on small ball feet.
