This striking late-Victorian candelabrum, features a stately Corinthian column standard resting upon a stepped, square base enriched with heavy gadroon borders. The removable twin-branch upper section gracefully supports three finely cast sconces decorated with traditional acanthus leaves and volutes. This piece offers an excellent synthesis of rigorous classical architectural form and sweeping, scrolled Victorian ornamentation.
