Each vase of baluster form with a lobed melon-shaped body, rising to a slender neck and flared trumpet mouth. The handles, modelled as rooster heads with downswept trunks, flank the neck with characteristic Meiji naturalism. The body decorated in high relief with cranes, perching birds, and flowering branches amid scrolling foliage. The spreading foot cast with shaped cartouches and geometric banding. The rich reddish-brown patina consistent with age and quality.
