A decorative pair of ovoid vases featuring a dark Pompeian-style patina. Each vase is flanked by elaborate volute handles terminating in swan-neck joins. The central friezes depict classical chariot (biga) scenes in low relief, surmounted by an anthemion and palmette neck band. Raised on square-section noir-et-blanc marble plinths with molded spelter feet.
