This highly decorative gilt-bronze extending fire fender features a central pierced balustrade flanked by distinctive architectural plinths. Each shaped end is prominently cast with detailed ram's head masks and is surmounted by a classical twin-handled urn draped in heavy foliate swags. The individual balusters are finely chased with neoclassical motifs, unified by continuous laurel leaf borders along both the base and the upper rails. Designed to accommodate varying hearth sizes, the sliding mechanism allows the fender to reach approximately four feet in length when fully expanded, presenting a striking and substantial architectural element.
